You know I love supporting local businesses, so I’ve pulled together a list of some great Canadian brands, venues and shops to check out before you finish your holiday shopping.
The Stocking Stuffer – North of Rosemont
I reviewed these notebooks in my first bullet journal post. These Canadian-made notebooks would make excellent stocking stuffers or Secret Santa gifts. A launch pack includes two notebooks, a pencil and some beautiful photos. $14.95
PS. For a chance to win a North of Rosemont launch pack, head over to my Instagram feed to enter! Contest opens Thursday, November 30.
The Experience – National Music Centre
Calgary is home to Canada’s National Music Centre. The exhibitions and performances spaces live within a gorgeous new facility in the East Village, and I would seriously recommend that anyone visiting Calgary check it out for an afternoon. Give a (highly affordable) annual membership to a loved one this year! An adult pass is $58 and the whole family can enjoy NMC for $110.
The Good Cause – Calgary Humane Society
Got a pet lover in your life? Donate to your local animal shelter in your favourite cat lady’s name and share the pawsitive vibes this holiday season. Donate here. OR JUST ADOPT A DOG. EVERYBODY LOVES THE SURPRISE OF RECEIVING THE GIFT OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR A LIVING BEING. Currently up for adoption (Nov 29):
Sometimes I can’t believe how many cool brands have been launched in Calgary. I could list dozens of products and brands that I love, but instead I’m going to give you a list of awesome shops that sell local brands so you can check them out for yourself. Some of my fave local shops:
Market Collective Holiday Markets – Inglewood Warehouse
